Donna grew up in historic Bethlehem, PA. Walking all around the city as a child, she discovered her love for the historic buildings with their architectural nuances and style differences. Inspired by teacher and artist, William Persa, Donna pursued degrees in Graphic Design at Northampton Community College and then Fine Art at SUNY Seldon and Stony Brook.
After discovering her disdain for working in advertising in New York, Donna began working as a kitchen and bath designer on Long Island in 1987, learning to use AutoCad and doing architectural renderings by hand. Working with homeowners, builders, and architects was exciting and always new. Donna gained vast design experience in kitchen, bath, custom millwork, historic, new construction, and commercial cabinetry.
Donna moved to Belfast in 2015. With her two children now grown and pursuing lives in California and Miami, she was free to take the leap forward and has fallen in love with Maine. The beauty, history, and lifestyle fit like a missing piece. She still continues to paint and write in her free time, but exploring Maine’s endless adventures is one of her favorite past times.
